Amongst the extremely popular Big band and Rat pack arrangements sits a lesser known set of arrangements recorded live in 1962 when Frank, escaping issues both public and personal in the US hastily pulled together a sextet of his favorite players for a tour of world capitals in aid of Children’s Charities.

Sextet successfully recreates the original scores and features some of the UK’s finest and most respected jazz musicians.

Regular Line up:
  • Drums - Clark Tracey
  • Bass - Mike Nichols
  • Guitar - Mitch Dalton
  • Piano - Toby Cruse/Jim Treweek
  • Sax/Flute - John O’neil Vibes - Anthony Kerr

We caught up with Paul to find out more about Sextet... “It’s a different sound to the big band arrangements that are so well known, loved and used in the West End the ‘Tribute’ circuit”

With Piano Guitar and Vibes it is a totally full harmonic sound but without the big horn section, in fact just one alto Sax/flute player skipping the horn lines around the vocal. This is a raw presentation of a tight swinging band showcasing the songs and voice, accessible to passing observers but I hope a joy for true Sinatra fans”

“Every project I work on is exciting but this takes us to a different and very interesting and credible area, with a sound not out of place in the hippest London Jazz clubs today”

Available for venues, weddings, corporate and theatre bookings.
